About Havana & Biagio

The Story

How It Started

The Havana and Biagio Show started with a simple idea: instead of telling parents what a good Montessori activity, music game, or dance routine looks like, why not just show them — with real kids doing it?

Havana and Biagio are brother and sister, and their dad, Carvelli, started filming their everyday activities almost by accident — a pouring exercise here, a clapping game there, a living-room dance routine that turned into a full video. What began as home videos became a library of simple, repeatable Montessori activities, Orff-style music and rhythm games, and kids dance routines that any parent can try at home.

Carvelli films, edits, and directs every video from behind the camera. Havana and Biagio are the ones on screen, leading, trying, sometimes getting it wrong, and always learning by doing.

Meet the Family

Biagio

Biagio is the elder of the two and the one most likely to turn any activity into a performance. He's especially drawn to Montessori-style independent tasks — he likes doing things himself, his way.

Havana

Havana brings the energy to every music and rhythm activity, and is usually the first to start dancing before the camera's even rolling.

Carvelli

Carvelli is the dad behind the camera, directing, filming, and writing the parent-facing activity guides that go with every video. He's not a certified Montessori or Orff instructor; the goal has never been to present as professional educators, but to show real, doable versions of these methods that any parent can copy at home.

Dr. Indra

Dr. Indra, Havana and Biagio's mom, supports the family and the brand from behind the scenes.

Where We Film

Every video is filmed at home, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, no studio, no set, just the same spaces any family already has. If an activity works for us, it'll work in your living room too.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Why Montessori, Music & Dance

We didn't pick these three areas by accident — each one is backed by real, recognized teaching methods, not just "cute kid content"

Montessori

Montessori activities are built on independent, hands-on learning. The American Montessori Society identifies child-directed work and uninterrupted focus time as central to the method — and that's what you'll see Havana and Biagio practicing in every Montessori video.

Orff Schulwerk

Orff Schulwerk teaches music through singing, clapping, and simple percussion before formal notation. The American Orff-Schulwerk Association describes it as a child- centered approach that blends music, movement, and play — the same way kids naturally pick up language.

Dance & movement

Dance & movement activities do more than entertain. Research highlighted by NAEYC links early dance and movement to real gains in coordination, language, and confidence.
